Menu Settings
Set the usage of the SHIELD Gate menu.
Overview of Settings
You can set the menu usage status through the on/off switch provided for each menu. The settings list is divided as follows:
- Using the Home Menu
- Using the Business System Menu
- Using the Desktop Menu
- Using the Remote Console Menu
- Using the File Menu
- Automatic Logout Settings
1. Home Menu Usage
Set whether to use the home screen menu of the user page.
- When using: The home menu is displayed to the user.
- when not in use: The home menu is not displayed to the user.
2. Using the Business System Menu
Sets the activation status of the business system menu.
- When using:
- You can additionally choose whether to use detailed features (app and URL input field).
- The user will see the business system menu.
- when not in use: The business system menu is not displayed to the user.
Business System Detailed Menu
app: Provide the list of registered applications to the user
- Users can select and run the business applications pre-registered by the administrator.
URL input field: A feature that allows users to directly enter a URL to access a website.
- Users can freely enter a web address to access the desired site.
Search Engine Integration
Set the search engine to link when a search term that is not in URL format is entered in the URL input field.
- When using: Recognizes input values that are not in URL format as search terms and accesses the search results page of the configured search engine.
- when not in use: Input values that are not in the same URL format as before will be inaccessible.
Search Engine Settings: Select one from Google / Naver / Daum / Nate / Bing
※ The setting is activated only when the URL input field feature is in use.
ℹ️ If you enter a search term that is not in URL format, you will be redirected to the results page of the selected search engine.
Required settings before using search engine integration:
To use the search engine integration feature properly, the access policy for the result page URL of the selected search engine must be set in advance.

⚠️ Caution: If there is no access policy set for the above URL, you will not be able to access the results page when entering a search term. You need to allow that URL in the URL list and conditional policies.
💡 Guide: In conditional policies**"All sites accessed through the address bar"**When using options, you can immediately use the search engine integration feature without separate URL settings.
Security Plugin Support
This is a feature required when accessing websites that use security programs (ActiveX, other plugins, etc.) used in the financial sector, public institutions, etc.
Setting Effect:
- When using:
- When accessing a site that requires a security plugin, the SHIELDGate Agent download modal window will be displayed.
- When the user downloads and runs the Agent, they can normally use the security program of that site.
- The Agent communicates with localhost within the configured port range.
- when not in use:
- The security plugin feature will be disabled.
- Some features of sites that require security programs (such as internet banking, electronic government sites, etc.) may not be available.
Need for Use:
- In cases where you need to use internet banking, Home Tax, electronic government sites, etc.Required Settings
- If you are only doing simple web browsing, it is optional.
Port Range Configuration :
This is a feature that specifies the port to be used when the security plugin communicates with localhost.
How to configure ports:
- Start port input: Enter the starting point of the port range (e.g., 49152)
- End Port Input: Enter the endpoint of the port range (e.g., 65535)
- Click the [+] button: Registers the entered port range
Precautions for Port Configuration:
- It is necessary to check whether the corresponding ports are allowed on the company firewall.
- You need to be careful not to conflict with ports used by other systems.
3. Using the Desktop Menu
Set the activation status of the desktop menu.
- When using: Users can utilize desktop features.
- when not in use: The desktop menu is not displayed to the user.
4. Remote Console Menu Usage
Set the activation status of the remote console menu.
- When using:
- The remote console menu is displayed to the user.
- The user can access the remote system through the remote console feature.
- when not in use: The remote console menu is not displayed to the user.
Remote Console URL Configuration:
- Enter the URL to access the remote console feature.

Cautions When Changing URLs:
- Incorrect URL settings can disable the remote console feature.
- It is recommended to check whether it works properly after changing the URL.
5. Using the File Menu
Set whether to enable the file upload/download feature.
- When using: Users can upload/download files to/from the central repository in the business system.
- when not in use:
- The file menu is not displayed to the user.
- The file upload/download of the business system operates on the user's PC local.
6. Automatic Logout Settings
Set the automatic logout time based on the user's inactive status.
Setting Options:
- Dropbox: 10 minutes/30 minutes limit, can be selected in 1-hour increments from 1 hour to 12 hours
- Time Settings: The default selected value is 1 hour
If the user is inactive for the set period of time, they will be automatically logged out.
Idle Judgment Criteria:
The idle timer is reset when the following user activities are detected:
- Mouse Events: All mouse inputs (including movement, clicks, and wheel scrolling) will reset the idle timer when they occur.
- Keyboard Events: The timer resets whenever any keyboard input (key presses, shortcuts, etc.) occurs.
- Scroll Event: The idle timer is reset even when scrolling occurs within the page.

Session termination and re-login process flow
The behavior during automatic logout and re-login is as follows:
- Automatic Logout or Token ExpirationIf you have moved to the login page due to:

Automatic Logout After Closing Browser Tab
- userEven if all browser tabs are closed,
- If the configured idle time elapses, on the server sideAutomatic LogoutIt will be processed.
- In this case, whether to automatically log out upon reconnection is determined, and if necessary, it will redirect to the login page.
Setup Complete
When all settings are complete, at the bottom of the screen,**[Application]**Click the button to save the settings.

Mandatory Requirements
⚠️ "Application/URL input field menu of the work system" or "Desktop menu" must be used.
URL configuration related
Connection test in progress:
- When changing the desktop Remote Browser URL, a connection test must be performed.
- You must perform a connection test when changing the SHIELDrive URL.
- Incorrect URL settings can disable the ability to use that feature.
